Free-agent player look to secure deals for upcoming NBA season.
Corey Maggette had a rough season with the Pistons last year and now he is looking for a second chance as a member of the San Antonio Spurs.
Maggette appeared in only 18 games — none after December 15, for reasons unknown — while putting up career-low averages in points, minutes, and field goal percentage.
The power forward has been known throughout his 14-year career for his ability to score and get to the free throw line as a volume shooter, and could be of value off the bench for a veteran team in need of that specific skill set.
Corey Maggette will be joining the Spurs for training camp. Great locker room guy, could provide needed scoring, esp. w/ Pop’s rest methods.

Another player who could be joining the Spurs lockeroom is veteran guard Mike Bibby who is looking for a team after his one-year contract with the New York Knicks expired.
Mike Bibby was invited to #Spurs camp — Pop liked him — & had good chance of making team, but can’t attend now due to heel/foot injury.
