Paulinho was brought to White Hart Lane accompanied by a great deal of fanfare on account of his eye-catching performances both in Brazilian domestic football and for the national team, but he has failed to impact games whilst in the Premier League and was only a late substitute in Spurs’ weekend victory over Everton.
Despite their huge standing in Brazilian football, however, Corinthians are unlikely to be able to give Spurs most of their money back for Paulinho, an issue which Spurs could find when trying to offload a number of their unsuccessful signings from recent times.
