The NFL has suspended Dallas Cowboys DE Greg Hardy for 10 games in 2015 for violating the personal conduct policies stemming from his domestic violence charges in 2014.
NFL.com insider Ian Rapoport was the first to report that the punishment for Hardy, which had been anticipated in accordance with the new policy of punishments for domestic assault against his former girlfriend Nicole Holder.

Hardy was accused of phyisically abusing Holder and was charged with domestic assault, but the charges were dropped when Holder failed to appear in court to testify against Hardy. Holder was allegedly out shopping at the time she was supposed to be called to the stand. Hardy was later cut by the Carolina Panthers at the end of the 2014 season and signed on with the Dallas Cowboys. Rapoport also reported that NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell has informed Hardy that should he ever violate the NFL’s rules regarding domestic abuse, he may be subject to a lifetime ban from the league.

In 2013, Hardy made it to the Pro Bowl after recording 13.0 sacks for the Panthers.
Hardy’s first game in which he would be eligible to play will be against the Carolina Panthers.
