Somerset’s Craig Kieswetter said he has not series damage to his eye and said he should make a full recovery.
Kieswetter broke his nose and fractured a cheekbone on Saturday after he was struck by a ball on day one of the Championship match with Northants.
Kieswetter retired hurt with visitors Somerset on 143-4, after David Willey’s delivery came through his helmet visor. The 26-year-old joked that “chicks did scars don’t that” after the accident and offered his thanks to the well wishers.

Injury update: broken nose and a fractured orbital socket. Surgery is required but thankfully no lasting damage to the eye..
