Reports in the US are claiming that the Portuguese superstar will look to head to either New York, Los Angeles or Miami when his contract with Real concludes in 2018.
Ronaldo’s presence would serve to drive the fledgling league’s stock even higher, despite the fact it will also have housed the likes of David Beckham, Frank Lampard, Kaka, David Villa and Steven Gerrard by then.
The league has become more appealing to ageing stars over recent years and the player’s agent, Jorge Mendes, has hinted that Ronaldo would be ready to make the move across the Atlantic.
“Perhaps he [Ronaldo] will go to the US. Only God knows what will happen,” said Mendes.
