Former Real Madrid goalkeeper Agustin Rodriguez on Tuesday said he was certain both Ronaldo and veteran goalkeeper Iker Casillas would leave the club in the summer.
Rodriguez told Radio Marca that he was certain both players would make their exits from the Santiago Bernabeu in the off-season.
“I am certain that Casillas and Cristiano Ronaldo are going to leave at the end of the season,” he is quoted as saying by Sport-English.
“We’ll see as much in the news that comes out in Wednesday’s papers.”
According to Metro, Ronaldo could re-join Manchester United with the Premier League believed to be willing to splash £71.5m on the 30-year-old.
Ronaldo has scored an incredible 52 goals across all competitions this season, and there’s no doubt Real Madrid will fight tooth and nail to hold on to its most prized asset.
The news could not have come at a worse time for Real Madrid, who will attempt to turn around a 2-1 deficit in the second round of its Champions League semi-final against Juventus on Wednesday.
