The Wolfsburg striker has explained his disappointment with local World Cup media.
Croatia striker Ivica Olic has slammed local media for the publishing of photos which showed some of his team-mates swimming nude at their hotel, Sportske Novosti reported.
“You can write freely that it’s a real shame!,” Olic said.
“We came here to represent Croatia, give our best, we are preparing ourselves for a difficult match against Cameroon and then such things happen.
“Is it normal? Do people really need to watch us without our underpants, do our families have to blush? Did media representatives come here for football or something else,” said the 34-year-old.
Croatian online media published photos of Vedran Corluka and Dejan Lovren swimming naked, either from behind or with hands covering private parts.
Coach Niko Kovac also slammed the media yesterday, saying that his players will not speak to anyone for the duration of Croatia’s involvement in the tournament.
Croatia lost its opening game of the World Cup 3-1 against hosts Brazil in Sao Paulo, and will now take on Cameroon on Wednesday in Manaus.
