Cronulla Sharks captain Paul Gallen has apologised for an offensive tweet attacking the NRL.
A day after Gallen called some at the NRL ‘c***s’, he took to Instagram to express his remorse.
“I would like to apologise to anyone I offended in my tweet yesterday and to anyone who took offence to the language I used,” Gallen wrote on Friday.
“I realise in the position I am in, this was unacceptable.”
Gallen has been called to face to Sharks board next week and is expected to cop heavy fines from both the club and the NRL over the matter.
