The Cronulla Sharks have pulled off a famous golden point victory over the Gold Coast Titans thanks to a Valentine Holmes drop goal.

Locked up at 22-22 in extra-time, Holmes stepped up and calmly slotted a field goal. It marked an amazing comeback for the Sharks who had trailed 14-0 at one point.
It was all Gold Coast early, with Ryan James crossing.
And then David Mead went almost the full length of the field to score.
Holmes managed to stem the flow with a try.
Luke Lewis’ effort made it back-to-back tries for Cronulla.
Holmes’ second made things every tight.
When Jack Bird scored with nine minutes left, it seemed as though the Titans were finished.
But then Anthony Don crossed to send the match to golden point.
It was Holmes’ turn to star, his field goal giving the Sharks their fourth win of the 2015 season.
