Veteran defender was released by Tottenham in the future.
Crystal Palace are reportedly pondering an approach for William Gallas in order to add some Premier League experience to the squad.
The 36-year-old is a free agent after his contract with Tottenham expired at the end of last season and he has been linked with a move to Championship club QPR and, more recently, ambitious A-League side Melbourne Victory.
Interest has also been forthcoming from America and China, but it’s thought Gallas has a preference to remain in England and it’s likely he would jump at the chance to join Palace should they make him an offer.
Sky Sports understand that Eagles boss Ian Holloway has opened talks with the former France international over a possible move that would see him represent a fourth London-based club having worn the colours of Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham across the last 12 years.
Hollway is eager to bring some much-needed top-flight wisdom into his squad following back-to-back league defeats to Tottenham and Stoke, before being dumped out of the Capital One Cup on Tuesday by League One side Bristol City.
The 50-year-old has switched his attentions to strengthening his defensive options after sprucing up his attack with the captures of Jason Puncheon, Marouane Chamakh and Dwight Gayle.
