The Englishman joins Palace to play under boss Ian Holloway for the second time in his career.
Crystal Palace have announced the loan signing of Southampton winger Jason Puncheon. Puncheon has already linked up with his new team in East London and will remain with the side until the end of the Premier League season.
“I know [Crystal Palace boss Ian Holloway] really well. He was a massive factor in this move,” Puncheon told Crystal Palace’s offical club website.
“He knows the league. He’s done it before and I think he will learn from his time at Blackpool and bring it into the team here.
“I actually played for Crystal Palace as a kid when I was eight. I left and there were a few times in my career that I was due to come back but didn’t. Now I’m here that’s the main thing.
“I’ve always as a young kid dreamed of playing at Selhurst Park, so it’s a young boy’s dream coming true.”
Newly-promoted Palace lost their opening game of the season 1-0 to Tottenham Hotspur, so will be looking to Puncheon to add some creativity to the side going forward.
Capable of playing on either wing, the 27-year-old will be only the fifth new addition to Palace for their first appearance in the Premier League in ten years, and will no doubt play a big part should the Eagles hope to survive.
