Russian champions could offer Alen Halilovic first team football.
CSKA Moscow have joined the race for Tottenham target Alen Halilovic, according to reports.
The 17-year-old nearly joined Spurs twice during the summer but the moves collapsed because the playmaker’s father, Saed, had reservations about the Londoners’ package.
The Dinamo Zagreb youngster is already a full international for Croatia and is regarded as one of the best young players in Europe.
Saed, a coach at Dinamo, reportedly rejected Spurs because they planned to start Halilovic in the youth team before slowing integrating him into the first team.
The teenager has also been linked with Bayern Munich but the chances of first team football for the European Champions seems even more unlikely than at White Hart Lane.
CSKA, however, can offer the youngster Champions League football and the Russian champions will be in need of a new playmaker because Keisuke Honda is set to join AC Milan in January.
