Hardy is extremely talented and helped the Panthers defense become one of the elite units in the league as Hardy registered a career-high 15 sacks in 2013.
His domestic assault charges forced him to sit out most of the 2014 season though as the Panthers deactivated him.
Cowboys executive vice president insisted that the team was aware of his red flag before signing him. The league is still investigating the Hardy incident, and a severe suspension is expected to be looming.
