The Dallas Cowboys have failed to make the playoffs since the 2009 season, so head coach Jason Garrett has received plenty of heat.
The Cowboys are making a strong push for a playoff spot this season though as they hold a 10-4 record, so Garrett’s seat is sure to cool off heading into 2015.
Owner Jerry Jones would not confirm for sure whether Garrett will return next season, but he said that the choice should be obvious. The choice will become even more obvious if the Cowboys return to the playoffs.
ESPN Dallas reporter Tim MacMahon publicized the Cowboys owner’s comments.
Out of principle, Jerry won’t publicly commit to Jason Garrett coaching Cowboys next year but says it’s “obvious.”
