Red Bull F1 star Daniel Ricciardo has smashed the Formula One driver lap record on the latest episode of Top Gear.
Ricciardo’s time of 1:42.2 was a massive seven-tenths quicker than the previous record set by current F1 world champion Lewis Hamilton in the ‘Star in a Reasonably Priced Car’ challenge.

Ricciardo shocked many pundits by outpacing four-time world champion Sebastian Vettel in 2014 and was the only driver capable of taking the fight to the Mercedes pairing of Hamilton and Nico Rosberg.
A good omen for 2015, perhaps…
