Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge has admitted that is champing at the bit to make his long awaited return from injury by getting back onto the pitch, the Daily Express reports.

The England international has been out of action since the end of August and has opened up about his frustration at having to watch the season unfold from the sidelines.
However, he has since recovered enough from a thing injury to return to training last week and could even be involved in the Reds clash with West Ham this weekend.
“I’m just looking forward to gettig back involved. That’s the main thing for me – I’m anxious but very excited,” he said.
“I’m just focusing on training hard and whenever the staff feel it’s ready to get back involved that will be when it is.
“It’s been very frustrating but it’s all a learning curve.
“These experiences allow you to learn something new.
“From a mental point of view I’ve improved. I’m champing at the bit – I want to be playing. That’s the only thing for me – to be playing.”
