After a long period of transfer speculation, Real Madrid are seemingly on the verge of completing a transfer with Manchester United for goalkeeper David de Gea.
According to The Metro, United are expected to sell the Spanish international to the La Liga powerhouse for £24.5m before the end of this week.
United have already prepared for the loss of De Gea, who has one year remaining on his Old Trafford contract, by signing Argentine international Sergio Romero to a three-year deal on a free transfer.
The Red Devils have also been linked to Ajax goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen.
De Gea has been eager to join Real Madrid for a while, as he would be returning home.
The 24-year-old goalie has prior La Liga experience, as he played for Atletico Madrid for two seasons before moving to the Premier League.
He has spent four seasons with United, helping lead them to the 2012-13 Premier League title.
