De Gea has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid, however, Manchester United are looking to play hardball with the La Liga giants.
According to The Sun, United want Ramos as part of any deal for de Gea despite the 29-year-old defender having a £128m buyout clause in his contract.
It is unlikely that Real Madrid will want to part ways with one of its most prized possessions, but Ramos’ contract at the club expires in 2017 and the player has given no indication that he is willing to sign a new deal.
De Gea is believed to have become Rafael Benitez’s number one transfer target this summer, and United are not willing to allow the 24-year-old to leave the club cheaply.
However, the Spaniard has just a year remaining on his deal at Old Trafford and the Red Devils run the risk of losing him as a free agent.
