Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea continues to be linked to Real Madrid, and it appears that he may finally be headed back to Spain.
The Daily Star reports that Real Madrid have made a final £21.2m offer to Man United for the 24-year-old.
De Gea is keen to transfer to Real Madrid, and he has just one year left on his contract with Man United.
However, the Red Devils are continuing to take a stubborn approach, as they are reportedly holding out for £24.75m.
They are willing to risk having De Gea leaving on a free transfer, which Real Madrid revealed they will pounce on if the opportunity arises.
Man United have already moved onto life without de Gea in the net, as they have benched him since manager Louis van Gaal feels that the rampant rumours don’t have him in the right mindset.
The Red Devils started off their 2015-16 season on a promising note, as Sergio Romero came away with a clean sheet against Tottenham Hotspur in his Man United debut.
