Manchester United have until Tuesday to make a move, as the transfer window will be closing then.
The Red Devils are still likely to sell goalkeeper David de Gea to Real Madrid. The Daily Express reports that they will do so regardless of whether or not they sign striker Gareth Bale.
United are attempting to acquire Bale from Real Madrid for close to £100m – £15m more than the Spanish side paid Tottenham Hotspur two years ago.
They have also gone after Bayern Munich winger Arjen Robben, for whom they are willing to pay £72.77m.
However, Bale is their top target.
United are keen to use De Gea in a part-exchange move for Bale, but The Express claim that De Gea’s move to Madrid is certain, while Bale to United is just a possibility.
