Manchester United will officially complete the signing of Barcelona winger Pedro on Wednesday, according to reports.
It seems the never-ending transfer saga is coming to a close, with Metro [via Marca] reporting that Pedro will become a United player following Barcelona’s clash with Sevilla in the UEFA Super Cup on Tuesday.
United have money to spend following its reported £45m sale of Angel di Maria to Paris Saint-Germain, and it seems Louis van Gaal is keen to reinvest a chunk of the fee on the 28-year-old Spanish international.
It was reported last week that United was not keen to match Pedro’s £22m release clause due to his decreased re-sale value, but it seems the Red Devils have had a change of heart and are keen bolster their attack as soon as possible.
Pedro is believed to frustrated by his lack of first-team opportunities at the Camp Nou, with the front three of Lionel Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez keeping the winger out of the starting XI.
