Besiktas are believed to have agreed to sign exiled goalkeeper Victor Valdes from Manchester United.
Sky Sports report that the transfer now rests on Besiktas manager Senol Gunes sanctioning the deal.
The Spaniard only joined the Red Devils on a free transfer in January, after leaving boyhood club Barcelona after 20 years, and made two appearances in the Premier League last campaign.
But the 33-year-old has been banished from United’s first-team squad this season. Louis van Gaal has accused him of refusing to play for the club’s reserves, claims that Valdes strongly denies.
Besiktas this week sold goalkeeper Cenk Gonen to Turkish rivals Galatasaray and now seem close to bringing in a Champions League and World Cup winner as a replacement.
Valdes would become the third United player to move to Turkey this summer after Nani and Robin van Persie, both of whom joined Fenerbahce as part of Van Gaal’s clear-out.
