After finishing bottom of the IPL in 2013, Delhi Daredevils will be hoping for better form in the seventh edition of the tournament and will want to start against Rajasthan Royals.
So far the Daredevils have lost three and won two of their five matches in the competition and this will be a great opportunity for them to make ground on the playoff places.
Rajasthan have one more victory and after a stuttering start have triumphed in their last two matches as they look to emulate the top four finish they achieved last year.
For Delhi they will be hoping the return of captain Kevin Pietersen to the fray will continue to push them on, with the Englishman having failed to feature at the start of this season due to a finger injury.
It’s the 33-year-old’s explosive batting that has been most missed and he will be looking to support the likes of Quinton de Kock, JP Duminy and Ross Taylor in the top order.
For Rajasthan their skipper Shane Watson appears to be finding his own form with the bat and he is well supported by fellow Australians Steve Smith and James Faulkner.
Faulkner was lethal with the ball in their last victory and now back in India, New Zealand spinner Kane Richardson may see a little bit more movement from the wicket.
