In a hilarious banter, the account @DeludedBrendan, with over 140,000 followers, tweeted to Tesco asking if they had any current deals.
@Tesco Got any deals on? I have a budget of £0 and preferably I’d like the product to be English and show great character.

In the response, one of Tesco’s social media personnel, Mike, said that he would check their Southampton stores for new signings. He was referring to last summer, when Liverpool almost spent £50m to recruit three players: Adam Lallana, Dejan Lovren and Rickie Lambert.
@DeludedBrendan Hmm, I’m not sure mate. Would you like me to check our stores in Southampton? – Mike

.@Tesco Mike, would I be able to return the striker I bought from your Southampton store last year? I still have the receipt.

Tesco’s response has almost 5,000 retweets and still growing. The striker the tweet most likely referred to is £4m man Lambert, who only scored three goals for the Reds this season. Looks like he really wished it was as simple as presenting a receipt to return a player…
