Dallas Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray called this year’s team the best team he has played for throughout his NFL career.
Dallas Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray is entering the fourth season of his pro career, and he enjoyed the best season of his career by rushing for 1,121 yards and eight touchdowns en route to his first Pro Bowl trip. He was able to stay mostly healthy after missing nine games the previous two seasons.
However, he still hasn’t been to the playoffs since joining the Cowboys. The Pro Bowler expressed his optimism that they will get over the 8-8 hump though. “I think you can say that, yeah,” Murray told the Dallas Morning News. “From the leadership we have and the young guys, I think you can say that.”
Despite the running back’s hopefulness, the Cowboys will find it difficult to contend in a competitive NFC East with their two best pass rushers, Jason Hatcher and DeMarcus Ware, gone.
The Cowboys will look to maintain their high-octane offense with Murray and quarterback Tony Romo returning as their defense hopes to put their bottom-ranked season behind them.
