Kansas City Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles is set to be a major part of the team’s game plan, even after receiving only 11 touches in Week 1.

The Denver Broncos started their season off with a 31-24 home win over the Indianapolis Colts, and they will continue at home in Week 2 against the Kansas City Chiefs.
The Chiefs suffered an embarrassing 26-10 loss to the Tennessee Titans in their season opener, and running back Jamaal Charles had a forgettable game. However, the Broncos are planning for Charles to receive many more touches than he did last week.
Charles only touched the ball 11 times against the Titans, but he remains their biggest weapon. “We definitely know they’re going to have a heavy game plan for Jamaal,” Broncos cornerback Aqib Talib told the Broncos’ official website.
The Broncos never had to deal with the Colts’ running game since they played with a lead the entire game, but Charles is sure to be involved in the passing game if the Chiefs fall behind.
The Chiefs clearly have a shaky offensive line though since they lost many of their 2013 starters, and right tackle Jeff Allen being placed on injured reserve does not make it any easier for the Chiefs.
