After missing the entire regular reason the rehab his injured knee after tearing his ACL last season, rumours are circulating that the 24-year old is to suit up for the team for the first time in 12 months.
Despite constant denials by the player himself that he will not return this season, the Bulls find themselves 1-0 up in the series and facing the possibility that the could hold a 2-0 lead over the Heat once they return to Chicago on Friday.
The return of Rose would provide a huge confidence boost to the team and fans, and even if he does not play a single minute, the presence of Rose in game day uniform instead of a suit would not only give the home side some belief, but also force Erik Spoelstra to game-plan for the genuine chance that Rose could be on the court.
What impact the 2011 league MVP will have on the game will be unknown until he ultimately sets foot onto the court, but the anticipation of that moment has been long awaited.
The Miami Heat are looking to avenge the opening game loss to Chicago, by tying the series up at 1-1 on Wednesday evening.
