The Detroit Lions did not include wide receiver Calvin Johnson in their Thursday practice because he is battling an ankle injury, which is making him questionable for Sunday’s game against the New York Jets.
The wide receiver known as Megatron suffered his ankle injury in the Lions’ win over the Green Bay Packers, and he has now missed his second consecutive day of practice.
Johnson’s status is unknown for now, but the Lions should have a better idea of his status for Week 4. Losing Johnson would be a major blow for the Lions since he is the best player on the team and arguably in the entire league.
Here is a tweet from Pro Football Talk releasing the news on the Lions receiver.
