Megatron makes his 2014 debut with the Lions and new head coach Jim Caldwell on Friday against the Jaguars.
After sitting out the first two preseason games, Lions WR Calvin Johnson (aka Megatron) will make his debut in the 2014 season when he starts for Detroit against Jacksonville in Friday’s preseason game.
Lions head coach Jim Caldwell, in his first year with the team, has not decided how long he intends to play Johnson in the “dress rehearsal game” against the Jaguars.
“We plan to get him some work this week,” Caldwell said according to MLive.com. “That’s [Monday] that I’m telling you that. Toward the end of the week, something adjusts, or we have to adjust here and there, and it could be that with a number of different guys, but we plan to get him some work this week.”
Calvin Johnson is the Lions all-time leader in receiving yards and holds the NFL record for receiving yards in a game and in a season. He is a 4-time Pro Bowler and 3-time All-Pro selection.
