The pair played crucial roles in Atleti winning La Liga a year before last, before Costa opted to move on and make the switch to England.
Having won another league title this past season, Costa will be looking to continue to be successful, and he is adamant that Turan would play a pivotal role in helping Chelsea achieve that success moving forward.
“I would really like to be reunited with him [Arda Turan] it would be fantastic because he is a player that makes my job easier,” Costa said, as reported by Turkish Football.
“Arda, Filipe Luis and I achieved great success together and he really is a great guy.”
Turan is expected to leave the Spanish capital this summer whether that is to join Chelsea or not, but it would be yet another deal between the two clubs following the moves for Costa, Felipe Luis and Thibaut Courtois last year.
Barcelona have also been strongly linked with a move for the Turkish international, and it appears as though the Spanish champions are favourites to land him.
