Chelsea bad boy Diego Costa was up to his infamous old tricks on Saturday as he assaulted Laurent Koscielny before getting Gabriel Paulista sent off by provoking the Brazilian Arsenal defender to kick him and then making sure referee Mike Dean knew about it.
Costa won the battle – he escaped a red card and wound Gabriel up enough to see Arsenal reduced to 10 men, which helped the Blues record a 2-0 win.
However, Gabriel has – sort of – won the war. The Gunners man had his three-match ban rescinded, while Costa has been charged with violent conduct and faces picking up a suspension of a similar length.

Arguably, Costa should be banned for more than three games.
After all, the former Atletico Madrid frontman has plenty of previous.
