If the Blues boss’ revelation is true it means Costa would be missing for what could be a decisive game with Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on the 26th of April whilst he will also sit out Manchester United’s trip to Stamford Bridge a week earlier.
Costa limped off the field just 11 minutes after coming on against Stoke City last weekend, apparently suffering a recurrence of a hamstring injury that has dogged him for most of the campaign.
The news from Mourinho, confirmed by Chelsea’s official Twitter account, means the Premier League frontrunners will be without their top goalscorer who has struck 19 goals in 24 domestic league games this season.
Jose anticipates Diego Costa will be back in time to play four matches this season. #CFC

Costa will now likely miss games against Queens Park Rangers, Manchester United, Arsenal and Leicester.
Whether Chelsea will truly miss their main striker is yet to be seen with Loic Remy proving an able substitute by scoring two decisive goals in the west London side’s last two fixtures to snatch decisive wins.
Remy’s winning strikes mean the club have been able to maintain a seven points lead over second-placed Arsenal at the top of the table whilst still holding a game in hand.
