Left-back to spend the remainder of the season in his homeland.
Arsenal defender Andre Santos has joined Gremio on loan for the remainder of the season, the North London outfit have announced.

The Brazilian flop has endured a miserable 18 months since joining the Gunners from Fenerbahce on August transfer deadline day 2011, featuring just 36 times for Arsene Wenger’s side despite a lack of competition at left-back.
The deadline arrival of Spaniard Nacho Monreal has pushed the 29-year-old further down the pecking order at the Emirates Stadium and Santos is likely to depart permanently in the summer.
Santos incurred the wrath of the Arsenal supporters when he swapped shirts with former Gunners captain Robin van Persie, now of Manchester United, at half-time during the Gunners’ 2-1 defeat at Old Trafford in November.
But his departure leaves Wenger short of options at left-back for next week’s crunch Champions League tie with Bayern Munich.
Monreal is cup-tied, having featured for Malaga in the Champions League group stage, while England international Kieran Gibbs remains out.
Former Brazil international Santos has previously played for Corinthians, Atletico Mineiro, Flamengo and Fluminense in his homeland.
