Caen midfielder N’Golo Kante has reportedly agreed a four-year deal with Leicester City.
According to the Daily Express, Kante will cost the Foxes around £5.6m when the transfer is confirmed.
Kante had also been the subject of interest from Arsenal, who are looking to upgrade their midfield.
The French international will be Leicester’s first signing since hiring Claudio Ranieri as their new manager.
The 24-year-old midfielder has previously admitted that a meeting with Ranieri convinced him to join the Foxes, who are looking to build on their Premier League finish of 14th place last season.
“It’s important that they have a coach now – a few days ago, I didn’t know what Leicester was like, as there was no coach,” Kante said.
Nigel Pearson was sacked as Leicester manager last month after disagreements with the team ownership.
