Jose Mourinho has already promised that he will not ship the teenager out on loan as he has done many of the other youngsters at the club.
Kenedy reacted to signing for Chelsea by telling the club’s official website: “I am very happy to complete my transfer to Chelsea. It is an exciting time for me to join the English Premier League champions and I hope I can become an important player for the club.”
The Blues already have a relatively stacked forward line, as they have last year’s leading scorer Diego Costa returning along with Loic Remy and new signings Radamel Falcao and Pedro.
Chelsea are looking to put a miserable start to their title defence behind them, as they are still searching for their first win of the 2015-16 Premier League season.
They most recently fell to a humbling 3-0 loss to Manchester City, but they will have a golden opportunity to bounce back on Sunday against West Bromwich Albion.
