Chelsea have announced the signing of Reading defender Michael Hector on a five-year contract.
The 23-year-old centre-back returns to the Madjeski Stadium on loan for the 2015-16 campaign.
He is believed to have cost the Premier League champions, who also signed Senegalese defender Papy Djilobodji from Nantes on transfer deadline day, for a fee of around £4m.

Jose Mourinho was known to be targeting defensive reinforcements this summer, but has had to revaluate his targets after seeing three bids knocked back for Everton star John Stones.
Hector made 49 appearances for the Royals in all competitions last season, having previously spent loan spells at 11 different clubs including Havant & Waterlooville and Bracknell Town.
But his rapid rise since his first-team debut in January 2014 has seen him make his international debut for Jamaica and be an ever-present in their Copa America team earlier this summer.
