“I am very happy to be joining Chelsea FC. After speaking at length to the manager, I feel like I can develop here and be an important part of this team. I am looking forward to meeting up with the team on Wednesday for the pre-season tour,” Begovic told the official club website.

The former Stoke ace made 172 appearances for the club and established himself as one of the most talented stoppers in the league with his consistently solid performances.
However, he now faces a new battle as he effectively replaces Petr Cech at the Bridge, and will now be tasked with displacing Thibaut Courtois from the starting line-up.
The Belgian international is expected to keep his place in the side, but he will certainly face stiff competition from the new arrival who will take the No.1 shirt while his rival continues with the No.13.
