While questions remain over the future of the Italian international given his time at Anfield looks over, Jovetic will now look forward to returning to Serie A where he initially shone for Fiorentina.
Inter boss Roberto Mancini has been busy in the transfer market this summer to strengthen his side and ensure that they are competitive, and Jovetic will be seen as a key part of that rebuild.
“FC Internazionale announces that it has reached an agreement with Manchester City for the transfer of Stevan Jovetic,” the club noted on their official website.
“The Montenegrin striker has signed a contract with the Nerazzurri until June 30, 2019.”
Details of the transfer have not been disclosed, but it is widely reported that it is an 18-month loan deal worth around €3m with a mandatory €12m to follow.
