Manchester United have tied down Ashley Young for a further three seasons, according to reports.
Young has been the subject of transfer speculation this summer and has been linked with both Liverpool and Tottenham, however The Mirror reports the England international has penned a new deal to remain at Old Trafford for the next three years.
While Louis van Gaal has added Memphis Depay to the squad, many considered Young would be surplus to requirements at the club.
However, it seems the Dutchman sees the 30-year-old as a vital player in the squad despite the fact United are reportedly closing in on a £20m move for Barcelona winger Pedro.
Young started 26 Premier League games last season and scored two goals and provided three assists in his most successful season since arriving at the club.
The winger has made 115 appearances for the Red Devils since joining from Aston Villa in 2011.
