Manchester United have signed Radamel Falcao on loan for the season, with a view to a permanent transfer.

The 28-year-old striker, widely recognised as one of the best centre-forwards on the planet, has agreed to spend the campaign at Old Trafford, despite their Champions League absence.
United are paying a big loan fee for the brilliant Colombian, and will cover the entirety of his huge wages too.
Falcao’s arrival caps off United’s most expensive transfer window of all time. The Red Devils have signed Luke Shaw, Ander Herrera, Marcos Rojo, Daley Blind and Angel di Maria for a combined fee of over £140m.
