Stoke City have officially completed a club-record deal for Inter Milan midfielder Xherdan Shaqiri.
They will pay Inter £12m for the Swiss international, who signs a five-year contract in the Potteries.

This tops the previous record deal for Stoke, which was the £10m signing of forward Peter Crouch.
Potters boss Mark Hughes spoke about his team’s latest signing, with BBC Sport quoting him as saying: “He’s a dynamic and explosive player who will bring something different.”
Shaqiri, who was at the Britannia Stadium as Stoke fell to a 1-0 loss to Liverpool – a rumoured admirer of the winger – in their Premier League opener on Sunday, marks City’s ninth signing of the summer.
The 23-year-old notched three goals for Inter in 20 appearances, but has been more prolific for Switzerland and will ease the goalscoring burden on the likes of Mame Biram Diouf and Crouch.
Stoke are hoping to get over the ninth-place hump, as they finished there for the second consecutive time in the 2014-15 season.
