The World Cup winning centre-back has reportedly grown frustrated with Dortmund’s poor form this season and their subsequent league position around the foot of the table.
“We’ve managed pretty well at home in recent weeks, but not at all away. It’s pretty astonishing that we are so pathetic,” he said.
Both United and Arsenal are looking for new defenders in the new year, and could finally make their moves for Hummels, though Dortmund have placed a £47m price tag on him that they will not be interested in reducing at all.
