Arsene Wenger has revealed that Alexis Sanchez is fit and ready to start Arsenal’s Premier League trip to Crystal Palace on Sunday.
Sanchez came off the bench for the final 20 minutes against the Hammers, despite having only returned to training last week following his Copa America triumph with Chile.
“Alexis Sanchez is fit, he’s been working hard and is ready for the weekend,” Wenger told the club’s official website.
Hector Bellerin is also back in the frame after missing the hugely disappointing 2-0 defeat to West Ham United on the opening weekend with a minor muscle strain, but Danny Welbeck remains out.
Wenger added: “Hector Bellerin is back and is available for Sunday. Danny Welbeck is making good progress, but is still not available.”
Sanchez was Arsenal’s top scorer in all competitions last season, finding the net 25 times, while Bellerin enjoyed a breakthrough campaign and could replace Mathieu Debuchy at right-back.
