Quarterback Josh Freeman has struggled to find his groove in the NFL since his promising 2010 season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but he may receive another chance after working out with the New York Jets.

The quarterback reportedly performed well in the Jets’ workout, but he will have a lot of ground to make up.
Freeman threw 25 touchdown passes with just six interceptions the year, while leading the Buccaneers to a 10-6 record. He threw 39 interceptions over the course of the next two seasons however.
After another unsuccessful stint with the Minnesota Vikings and failure to make the New York Giants’ roster in 2014, Freeman officially became a bust. The Buccaneers drafted the former Kansas State quarterback with the 17th overall pick in the 2009 draft.
The Jets also traded for former Houston Texans quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick, so they clearly don’t have faith in struggling quarterback Geno Smith.
Marcus Mariota is expected to fall to the Jets since they’re picking sixth overall, so their quarterback outlook is still extremely murky.
