The Philadelphia Eagles moved to 2-0 after beating the Indianapolis Colts, simultaneously making their second straight comeback of 14-points or more. RB Darren Sproles was electric with 178 yards from scrimmage – which included a career high 152 receiving yards out of the backfield.
The Colts led the Eagles 20-6 late in the 3rd quarter, but gave up 2 TDs at the end of the quarter to tie it up. After scoring another TD early in the 4th quarter, the Colts were able to keep the lead until late in the 4th quarter when QB Andrew Luck threw an INT. The Eagles marched down the field for a TD with 3:25 left in the game.
The Colts got the ball back but went 3-and-out, giving the ball to the Eagles with just over 2 minutes to go – the Eagles marched down the field again and scored a FG on the final play of the game to give them a 30-27 final score.
With the loss the Colts fell to 0-2, Andrew Luck’s second loss of his career when throwing at least 3 TDs.
