Eden Hazard was rewarded for his fine season on Sunday night as the Chelsea wing wizard picked up the PFA Player of the Year award.
The Belgian international topped the vote, winning by a landslide ahead of Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane, who won the Young Player award, and Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea.
Hazard was a convincing winner. He has scored 13 goals and provided eight assists in 33 Premier League games this season, helping Jose Mourinho’s Blues to the top of the table and putting them on the verge of their first title since 2010.
After Hazard’s unveiling as the award winner, fans took to Twitter to react.
We reckon Hazard was a deserving winner, but many fans were not convinced.

I DONT SEE HOW HAZARD HAD A BETTER SEASON THAN SANCHEZ OR KANE.

Sanchez a better goalscorer? Yes. A better player? Nowhere near it. Hazard’s overall play is much, much better.

So Kane is a better young player than Hazard but Hazard is a better older player than Kane? Makes perfect sense #PFAawards
