Liverpool are closing in on a free summer deal for Burnley striker Danny Ings.

The 23-year-old’s stellar first season in the Premier League has accrued a number of suitors but none seem so interested as the Reds, say the Metro.

Ings was close to a move to Anfield in January that eventually broke down, but with no contract to restrict him at the close of the season it seems Brendan Rodgers has found at least one solution to his striking woes.
