Jay Rodriguez (Southampton)
It is fair to say that Jay Rodriguez did not enjoy the best of debuts for England when selected to face Chile in November, but despite many in the media writing him off, he bounced back in the most positive fashion possible.
In his next seven games for Southampton, Rodriguez scored five goals and set up one for club and Three Lions colleague Rickie Lambert, and Liverpool forward Daniel Sturridge is the only Englishman to have scored more Premier League goals this season.
Rodriguez certainly deserves a second chance to impress, and his partnerships with Lambert and Adam Lallana for the Saints could be something for Roy Hodgson to exploit in Brazil.
