Frank Lampard has announced his departure from Chelsea after thirteen years at Stamford Bridge, but is not surplus to requirements to his country at the age of 35.
The veteran midfielder, who actually turns 36 in three weeks’ time, has been named as England captain for tonight’s game against Ecuador.
