SC Danny Welbeck 7 – Continued his recent good form with a neat finish to add a third goal for England and caused real trouble with his pace in behind.
SC Wayne Rooney 4 – A dreadful night for Rooney, despite scoring a penalty and seeing his cross deflected in. Judging this on the basis of the opposition’s strength, the chances that Rooney missed coupled with the regularity at which he gave the ball away was alarming.
SUB Adam Lallana – 8 – Looked lively when he came on, finding space and creating things for teammates. Could well have earned a start.
